Pre-employment medical
A fitness examination against what the role actually demands, not a general health record. The employer receives the outcome, not the medical detail behind it.
What a pre-employment medical confirms
A pre-employment medical asks whether a candidate is fit for the specific role, assessed by a practitioner against the physical demands you describe. It is not a general checkup and it does not produce a medical file for your records. Only the fitness outcome is shared, which is the trust the whole check rests on.
Fit, fit with conditions, or not fit for the specific role, as the practitioner determines.
Vitals and physical examination findings, read for their bearing on fitness rather than recorded as a standalone result.
Assessed against what the role actually requires: manual handling, prolonged standing, working at height, or similar.
The professional judgement behind the outcome, made by the examining practitioner, not by GVS or the employer.
Who conducted the assessment, so the finding is attributable rather than anonymous.
The fitness outcome. The examination detail and any condition discussed with the practitioner stay out of your dashboard.
Sources. A registered medical practitioner conducting the assessment against the physical demands of the role you specify. The outcome is annexed to the case; the examination itself is not.
What the assessment covers
The practitioner works from the role's actual demands, not a fixed checklist. These are the parts most roles draw on.
Vitals and overall physical condition, as a baseline for any role.
Checked where the role depends on them, such as driving or operating machinery.
Manual handling, standing, or working at height, matched to what the role requires.
Reviewed only for their bearing on fitness for this role, not recorded as a general history.
How it works
Four steps. The role's physical demands go to the practitioner before the candidate does.
The candidate consents in writing, and the practitioner is given the physical demands of the role, not just its title.
The practitioner examines the candidate against that role profile, not a generic checklist.
Fit, fit with conditions, or not fit for this specific role, decided by the practitioner.
Only the fitness outcome reaches your dashboard. The examination record does not.
