GVS never charges candidates. If anyone asks you to pay for a GVS check, it is not us. Report it to support@genuineverification.com.

Why you are hearing from us

An employer you applied to, or already work for, asked GVS to verify parts of your background. We only run the checks that employer asked for, and only after you have consented.

What we check

Depending on the role, some of: identity, previous employment, education, current and permanent address, court records, references, credit history, directorships. Your consent form lists exactly which ones apply to you.

What we do with your information

• We use it only to run the checks your employer requested.
• We share the result with that employer. Nobody else.
• We do not sell it and we do not use it for advertising.
• We keep it only as long as we are required to, then delete it.

Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act you can ask us to:

• tell you what personal data of yours we hold,
• correct anything that is wrong,
• explain how a finding was reached,
• withdraw the consent you gave, and
• delete your data where the law allows it.

Email support@genuineverification.com with your full name and the employer who requested the check. We respond within 30 days.

If you think a finding is wrong

Tell us. Say which finding and why, and attach any document that supports your version. We re-verify at the source, and if we got it wrong we correct the report and tell the employer. This costs you nothing.

Common questions

Does a check hurt my chances?

A check confirms what you already told the employer. Discrepancies matter, confirmations do not count against you.

Will my current employer be contacted?

Not without your say-so. Employment checks on a current employer are held until you tell us it is safe to proceed.

How long does it take?

Identity is usually confirmed within an hour. Employment, education and court checks typically take a few days depending on how fast the source responds.
